Training and Recruiting Supervisor

Gannett Consumer Solution Center (GCSC) in Louisville, KY is seeking a Training and Recruiting Supervisor who is responsible for both recruiting and training functions at the Gannett Consumer Solution Center (GCSC).  The main purpose of the position is to provide full scope support through recruitment, on boarding, and training for all new Consumer Support Center team members.  The Training and Recruiting Supervisor has ownership to requisition the required qualified manpower to meet budgeted staffing targets, and retain them through training and development during their initial 90 day induction period.  The Training and Recruiting Supervisor is responsible for designing and delivering professional multi-level induction programs for new employees as well as ongoing training for existing Customer Service Representatives (CSR).  The Training and Recruiting Supervisor will support in identifying training needs and planning new hire’s personal development plans by analyzing and identifying employees’ knowledge, skill, attitude, and aptitude gaps.  The Training and Recruiting Supervisor will identify the proper development plan, monitor implementation and career development for new CSRs.  This will include providing feedback and ongoing coaching/mentoring to ensure professionalism, efficiency and to ensure customer service levels are achieved daily.  The Training and Recruiting Supervisor is responsible for the review and analysis of successful team members in an effort to determine the most appropriate candidate and sourcing platform.

Job Duties:

  • Partnering with Human Resources to assist in achieving staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; representing company in career days and recruiting efforts.
  • Facilitation of training and on-boarding of new CSRs.Responsibilities include monitoring and coaching of CSRs to ensure customers are handled in a professional and “Heroic” manner to achieve quality goals.
  • Provide training, coaching and feedback to CSRs who need reinforcement in particular skill-set areas to achieve performance goals as they relate to sales and service initiatives (Ex: EZ Pay sales programs, Stop Saver and Retention Programs, NIE & Vacation Pak solicitation).
  • Amending and revising training programs as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the products and services supported by the CSC
  • Lead by example by answering calls as scheduled and demonstrating constant professionalism with internal and external customers.Follow-up with subscribers to ensure resolution of concern or request in a timely, professional manner.
  • Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Job requirements:

  • High school diploma required; some college preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of demonstrated recruitment and training experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, coaching and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent sales, organizational, communication and management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to prepare deliverables and reports accurately and within time deadlines.
  • Ability to coordinate several tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail oriented and able to react to change productively.

Director-Talent Mgmt Org Development

Job Description

  • Collaborate with HR entities and Senior Business Leaders regularly to understand business objectives and analyze talent needs and work force effectiveness. Function as a strategic business partner with operating departments to support organizational goals. Recommend business improvements with regards to talent development, engagement and select appropriate resources to support those objectives.
  • Oversight of talent management and succession planning strategies and systems to ensure bench strength across all level 15+ positions in the enterprise.
  • Ensure tools and metrics are designed and utilized to measure the effectiveness of talent development programs and processes
  • Partner with Chief Diversity Officer and legal counsel (internal and external) to ensure all programs are validated and legally defensible.
  • Conduct Annual Talent Review and Organizational Capability assessment and develop strategies and programs to address those needs.
  • Develop and deliver effective training in support of Organizational Development initiatives.
  • Partner with HR and operational leaders to identify high potential leaders in the development of talent pipelines.
  • Support organizational design efforts, reorganization, and work group development
  • Strategically involves and builds relationships with cross-functional divisions, corporate entities, properties, and key external stakeholders.
  • Create strategies designed to promote a stronger MGM Resorts culture and employee engagement.
  • Creates and maintains a work environment which promotes team work, performance, feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
  • Works closely with corporate/ property executive teams and department heads to conduct organizational needs assessment and gap analysis to develop the right solutions.
  • Liaise with Corporate on diversity initiatives to promote the one Company culture.
  • Responsible for budgetary oversight for all initiatives and investments associated with development of comprehensive change management, employee engagement and talent management programs.
  • Stays current with industry trends. Conducts appropriate benchmarking to ensure identification and implementation of best practices relative to learning.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
  • Job Requirements

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in OD, Business, Human Resources Management, Education, or related discipline.
    • At least 5 year experience developing and leading organization development initiatives and talent management programs at a corporate level for an organization of more than 10,000 employees in multiple locations.
    • Expertise in OD, Talent Management, and Leadership Development with demonstrated background in facilitating group sessions, delivering business solutions.
    • Strong grounding in training and OD theory and practice.
    • Strong analytical and listening skills.
    • Excellent leadership skills.
    • Excellent writing skills and strong administrative and organizational skills
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Able to lead and mentor a team.
    • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

    Preferred:

    • MA, MS or MBA Degree.
    • At least 3 years of Hospitality experience.
    • PHR or SPHR Certification.
    • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
